The goal was to design a significant landmark without large gestures or overwhelming dimensions—something visible from a distance, quickly noticeable, clear, and unmistakable as a symbol.
The development of technical and transportation infrastructure is inevitably tied to the modern colonization of land. The Pávovská intersection is a Gordian knot. The solution lies in inclusion.
The organization of infrastructure forms the foundation, while symbolism adds value.
Transit routes slice through and fragment the territory. If they are moved off the surface, they can free up the ground level.
The open ground level becomes permeable, the terminal easily accessible, walking distances short, and traffic intersections eliminated.
The costs associated with non-level intersections are offset by the benefits of a simple surface-level solution.
An example of this is the functional use of what would otherwise be a lost, built-up area beneath elevated platforms, or the staged construction of surface-level parking lots.
The primary infrastructure is permeable landscape, USES elements, and water management.
We respect the existing floodplain area in the eastern part, the areas of the hundred-year and active flood zones.
